Robert Shurtleff, age 72, of Magnolia, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Magnolia Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born on February 2, 1954, Robert cherished time with his son, Robbie, making many fond memories together, and was deeply proud of his son’s service in the U.S. Army and his career accomplishments. Robbie and his wife, Shannon, blessed the family with two children, Caitlyn and Ava, whom Robert loved dearly.
On January 10, 2026, he married his longtime friend and love, Annette Holcombe Shurtleff. Having met in 2009, their friendship grew into a beautiful marriage filled with laughter, evening rides, and shared moments watching funny videos. He lovingly embraced Annette’s granddaughter, Xila, as his own. He was also a caring stepfather to Andrew and Sarah.
Robert worked hard throughout Arkansas and often helped on his brother-in-law Clay’s farm alongside his sister Sue. He treasured time with his family, especially Sue and Clay, as well as John, Dean, and Angelina, and he also enjoyed spending time with his great-nephew Derrick.
A devoted fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Robert enjoyed cheering on his team and sharing those moments with many of his family. He loved his many pets over the years, including Paw Paw, Scooter, Johnson, and Phoebe. Robert will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family.
Visitation will be held, Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at A. O. Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Don Phillips officiating, interment to follow at Memorial Park Garden, Magnolia, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of A. O. Smith Funeral Home, Stamps, Arkansas.
