Not sure what to say?

My heartfelt sympathy to the entire Silver family. Bob always had a peace about him and genuine kindness and concern for all. I'll never forget his words of sympathy and love when my mom, Mary Jane Figueras, passed. He was so faithful in serving our Lord, his family and the community. May his family find comfort and confidence in his rejoicing in heaven.

I worked for bob many years ago. He was the first to let me drive his tractor. We worked in the fields picking up rocks. That man never slowed down!! Rest in peace my friend, thank you for life lessons I passed on to my children.

Bob was a Jordan Creek Conservancy Director for more than 40 years. His knowledge, dedication, and common-sense judgement will be missed. Thanks, Bob!

Our family's thoughts are with your family during this sad time.

Bob was one of the nicest person you could ask for. He will be missed and remembered by a lot of people. Very sorry for the families loss.

So very very sorry. I would see Bob here and there a few years ago. I contracted Long Covid and have had a long recovery from pneumonia. Vincent . Think of you during this time. Hope you are well. Paula Watson

A very good guy, graduated and friend with my husband Larry Snider. So sorry to his family.

Uncle Bob always extended his hand in warm welcome. His kindness and thoughtful presence left a lasting impression on all who met him. With deepest sympathy, Alicia and Steve.

Robert's Obituary

Attica – Robert “Bob” Lee Silver, 85, of rural Attica, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 3:53 p.m., following a cerebral hemorrhage earlier that day.

Bob, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was born at home near Boswell, Indiana, on June 23, 1940. He was the son of the late Martin and Mildred Jocelyn (Faulkner) Silver. At the age of 2, he moved to Jordan Township, Warren County, Indiana where he lived for 68 years before relocating to his current home near Williamsport.

A lifelong farmer, Bob dedicated himself to working the land in Jordan Township well into his 80s. Whether he was tilling soil, planting corn and soybeans, or hauling grain to the elevators, he found purpose and pride in his work.

After graduating from high school, Bob served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. At the time of his honorable discharge, he had attained the rank of E4 Specialist.

Bob was a devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Attica, where he served faithfully on the church council. His commitment to the community ran deep—he served as chairman of the St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital Board, the ASCS Board and the Merit Board, offering steady leadership and thoughtful stewardship. Passionate about supporting local youth, Bob dedicated his time serving many years as the President of the Warren County Fair Board, the Horse and Pony Club and the MSD of Warren County School Board. He also contributed meaningfully to the Warren County Soil & Water Conservation Board and the Jordan Township Conservation District, always striving to preserve and enrich the land he loved. Above all, Bob cherished time spent with his family, especially during holidays and shared travels, where his warmth and quiet humor made every gathering memorable.

On January 25, 1969, Bob married Becky Lynn Nies in Lucerne, Indiana. Together they shared 56 years of love and partnership.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Becky; five children: Vincent Silver (Valeri Dawson) of Williamsport; Cynthia Wallace (Shawn) of Indianapolis; Drs. Kim Brown (Klent) of Bedford, IN; Amber Obert (Dr. Brian) of Carmel, IN; and Adam Silver (Olive) of Santa Barbara, CA. He was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren: Alex, Nate, and Issy Wallace; Cora, Porter, Oliver, Avery, and Charli Brown; Spencer and Eloise Obert; and Theodore and Emmett Silver. He is also survived by his sister, Sandy Swanson (Jerry) of Denver, IA.

He was preceded in death by three brothers—Thomas, William, and James Silver—and four sisters—Joyce Wetli, Patty Portman, Rita Senesac, and Mary Klemme.
