Robert's Obituary

Seekonk – Robert M. Smutek, 64, a self-employed Master Electrician, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Norma L. (Tootell) Smutek for forty-two years. Born in Attleboro, a son of the late Edward and Pauline (Petzold) Smutek, he resided in Seekonk most of his life. Bob was a Vietnam War U.S. Army veteran, and enjoyed golfing. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Robert D. Smutek and Michael R. Smutek and his wife, Donna; a sister, Pamela Meunier and her husband, Robert of Seekonk; two brothers, John Smutek and his wife, Nancy of Seekonk and Jeff Smutek of Pawtucket; three granddaughters, Karisa, Morgan and Madison Smutek and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to VISITATION on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. The funeral followed by interment will be private. Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to the Dialysis Support Services Fund, Inc., C/O Dialysis Unit, 318 Waterman Ave., East Providence, RI 02914.
