I worked for Bob as an agent in St George. I loved Bob, always a friend and support to his agents. He knew the Real Estate business! We will miss you Bob!

Robert “Bob” Lawrence Taylor, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Bob was born on August 4, 1937, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lawrence and Janet Taylor. When Bob was about nine years old, his father passed away. Janet later married David Schouten, whom Bob always considered his father and loved deeply.
He proudly served in the United States Army from 1955-1958, where he was assigned to post–World War II rebuilding efforts in Germany.
On January 2, 1960, Bob married Karen Sudbury in Elko, Nevada. (Yes, they eloped.) They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on January 19, 1971. Together they raised four children: Bob, Barbara, Martin, and Eric. Karen passed away on November 22, 2014, just shy of their 55th wedding anniversary.
Bob married Elaine Neff in the Jordan River Temple on June 20, 2023. They found each other when they both needed it most, and their time together was a blessing to them both.
Bob spent most of his working life in real estate, where his love of conversation and natural ability to connect with people served him well. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to providing for his family. He never hesitated to work two jobs if that was what it took to ensure there was food on the table.
Nothing meant more to Bob than his family. He spent his life showing up for his kids, whether that meant being the first person in the stands at their events or just being there for them at home. Some of his favorite times were the simplest ones: sitting by the lake fishing with the people he loved most. When he found a little time to himself, he enjoyed gardening, painting, listening to music, or getting lost in a good book. And because he was such a devoted animal lover, the house was never truly quiet; there was always at least one pet—usually a few—at his feet.
Bob is survived by his wife, Elaine; his children, Bob (Janet) Taylor, Barbara (Brad) Abel, Martin (Carlyn) Taylor, and Eric (Cathy) Taylor; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Doug Taylor, Maxine Wilkerson, Dave Schouten, Ben Schouten, and Morgan Schouten.
He was preceded in death by his eternal companion, Karen; his parents; two brothers, Daniel Schouten and Kent Taylor; and many beloved members of the Taylor and Schouten families, as well as his in-laws, the Sudbury family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, located at 14068 W. Rosecrest Road in Herriman. A viewing will precede the service at the same location beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Park in West Valley City.
The family wants to express their heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff at the Murray Intermountain Medical Center for the compassionate care they provided during Bob’s final hours.
