Robert Thomason, Sr.

Robert C. Thomason, Sr. age 83 born March 21, 1932 in Columbia TN. He was a resident of Rutherford County for over 60 years. Mr. Thomason was retired from State of Tennessee Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 36 years, Irene Thomason; sons, Paul Thomason, and Jimmy Duke; daughter, Eara Morgan, and step son, W.C. Smotherman. Mr. Thomason attended Bridge Ave. Church of Christ.He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Lucille Smotherman Thomason; children, R.C. Thomason, Ray Thomason and wife Pam, Wanda Thomason Lewis, Dale Duke, Robbie Walls and husband Hank all of Murfreesboro, step-children, Randal Smotherman and Kenneth Smotherman both of Murfreesboro, Jeff Smotherman of Texas, Cindy Heary of Pulaski, Jo Anne Kitchens of Alabama; and host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.Funeral service will be 3:00PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Tim McElroy and Roy Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
