Robert's Obituary

On Sunday, February 22, 2026, our loving father, brother, and friend Robert Joseph Velliquette fell asleep in death at the age of 67 at his residence in Bad Axe, Michigan.  Robert was born on August 3rd, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan to Edward and Lena Velliquette, the second of nine children.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Lena Velliquette and brother Carl Joseph Velliquette. Robert is survived by his daughter Katherine (Joseph) Sefcik, girlfriend Manuela “Mandy” Garza, brothers Michael (Laurel) Velliquette, Douglas (Tammy) Velliquette, sisters Kathy (Perry) Walker, Linda Luscumb, Mary (Dave) Harroun, Margaret (Kevin) Wright, Donna (Russell) Niester, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Robert was a very loving, generous, and hard working person. He always did his best to be a good provider for his family and never wanted to be a burden on others. Robert cared for his family’s needs working in the food service industry, at a manufacturing company in Harbor Beach, and serving as a custodian for Thumb Industries. His daughter Katherine noted how supportive her dad had always been of her and her endeavors. Robert loved spending time with family and friends, enjoying a good laugh and sharing some humorous moments. He loved music and enjoyed fishing when he could.  He and Mandy also enjoyed the company of friends at a local recreation center. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City. A memorial service for Robert will be held at a later date in the spring.

Condolences can be shared at www.macalpinefuneralhome.com
