R.W. , Whether Watt was helping me unload packages at Simplimatic or playing golf with him at Falling River or watching a baseball game with him, I enjoyed every minute I spent with him. He was a great person to be around and I will greatly miss him! I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

Robert "Watt"'s Obituary

Robert Watkins "Watt" Jamerson, Sr., 74, of Church Street, Appomattox, died Monday, March 20, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Pamela Ferguson Jamerson for 48 years. Born in Appomattox County, Va., on January 15, 1943, he was a son of the late Virgie Litchford and Thomas Melvin Jamerson, Sr. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam era and retired after 33 years as a supervisor for Simplimatic Engineering. Watt enjoyed playing golf, car shows, and showing his Ford Mustangs. He was a Yankees, Redskins, and UVA Cavaliers fan. But his greatest passion was watching his grandson, Hunter, play baseball. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Robert Watkins "R.W." Jamerson, Jr. and Sonya J. Mohr and husband, Marty and his grandson, who was his pride and joy, Hunter Jamerson Mohr. Also surviving are two brothers, Floyd Lee "Pete" Jamerson and wife, Nancy and Donald Ray Jamerson and wife, Drema both of Appomattox; a sister, Darlene J. Dunn and husband, Wayne of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Melvin Jamerson, Jr. and Cecil Wayne Jamerson. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Diann Pickett for her loving care of Watt. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017 at Robinson Funeral Home by Pastor David Chavis. Burial will follow in Hollywood Baptist Church with military honors. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m., on Thursday, at Robinson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
