Roberta L. Cammer, 81, of South Abington Township, passed away at her home on June 18th after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Russell Cammer Jr., her husband of over 61 years, and a loving mother and grandmother.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Sally Drazdowski Cecci. She was a graduate of Central High School and Marywood College, where she was the Salutatorian of her class. Prior to retirement, she worked as a Dietician at Allied Services. Roberta was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church and the Laurel Garden Club. She was a Master Gardener and active in her community, volunteering with the Dalton Food Bank and Petal Share.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Russell Cammer III and his companion, Pam O’Horo, of Clarks Summit; a daughter, Gayle Perfilio, and husband Patrick of South Abington Township; grandchildren Melissa and Alexandra Perfilio and Jenna Atkins and husband Spencer; a brother, Bob Cecci and his wife Mary Jane of Thornhurst; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 29th at 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 South State Street, Clarks Summit. All those attending mass are asked to go directly to the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA, Doctors Without Borders, or the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.
