Roberto Romero Estrada, 79, of Perryton, Texas, passed away on February 20, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas.Viewing will begin on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Iglesia La Peña de Horeb in Perryton, with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Iglesia La Peña de Horeb with Rev. Jose Avalos officiating. Burial will follow at Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. of Perryton, Texas.

Roberto was born on May 25, 1946, in Cajoncitos, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Sofia Estrada and Pedro Romero. On January 5, 1973, he married the love of his life, Flora Muñoz, and together they shared 53 beautiful years of marriage. They were blessed with four children: Alfredo, Bertha Alicia, Diana, and Guadalupe. Roberto worked as a farm laborer throughout his life and was known as a man who could do it all. He built his family’s homes from the ground up with his own hands, providing not only shelter but security and love. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. One of his greatest joys was cruising around town and the lake with his grandchildren, enjoying the outdoors and creating lasting memories. He was a faithful member of Iglesia La Peña de Horeb, where he was baptized as a testimony of his love for his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Flora Muñoz de Romero; one son, Alfredo Romero and wife Rut of Perryton; three daughters, Bertha Alicia Romero of Perryton, Diana Romero and husband Oscar of Mexico, and Guadalupe Romero and husband Adrian of Perryton; six grandchildren, Adrian and wife Alejandra, Heriberto and wife Victoria, Yahir, Ariana, Oscar, and Joel; six great-grandchildren, Izabella, Natalie, Bruno, Adilene, Manuel, and Adrian; three brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; one sister; and one grandchild. The family requests that memorials be made to one’s favorite charity.
