Robin's Obituary

Robin Joan Johnson (nee Schaudt), age 72, of Fallbrook, California, passed away at her home on December 26, 2025 surrounded by her husband and daughters.

Born in Astoria, Oregon, to Robert and Norma Schaudt, Robin graduated from Sunset High School in Beaverton, Oregon where she enjoyed her time as a member of the Sunflares dance team.  Years later she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management while working 35 years for The Boeing Company.

She and her beloved husband Larry began dating during their senior year of high school.  Though they went their separate ways after graduation, their affection endured.  Forty years later, just prior to their high school reunion, they reconnected after seeing each other's names on a published list of attendees.  They were surprised to learn they were both employed by The Boeing Company, Robin in Long Beach, CA and Larry in Seattle, WA.  Two years later they were married in Coeur D’Alene, ID and road-tripped through Yellowstone Park enjoying Mammoth Hot Springs, Old Faithful, Jackson, Wyoming, Craters of the Moon, among others.

Every three weeks, or so, either Robin would travel north or Larry would travel south as they continued to work and live in their respected communities until they both retired in May of 2015.   Robin and Larry moved to Fallbrook, CA shortly thereafter and have been inseparable.  Robin enjoyed motorcycle riding, occasional road trips (notably to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan), ship cruises with family, updating their home, visiting with neighbors, visiting her daughters, reading, U of Oregon Football and tending to their small grove of oranges, lemons, avocado and pomegranate.  There was not a harsh word spoken in 15 years.

Robin was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Johnson, her two daughters, Kelly Hill and Alisha Hill, her sister Nancy Morris, grandchildren Devin, Rylan, Adalyn, and her niece and nephew Jennifer and Cody.  Also surviving are Larry’s daughters Magen Kozera and Rose Johnson and grandchildren Winter and Harvey.  She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Norma Schaudt.

Robin will be remembered for her compassion, kindness, humor, and her gift for bringing beauty into the world through the love and laughter she shared with family and friends.

Robin requested a celebration of life, yet to be scheduled.
