Ricardo "Ricky" Granillo

Ricardo “Ricky” Granillo entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Midland, Texas. He was born on March 26, 1965, in El Paso, Texas, where he spent much of his childhood. As a teenager, Ricky moved to Midland, where he attended Midland High School and proudly played both basketball and football for the MHS Bulldogs.

Ricky devoted most of his professional career to working for the City of Midland, a role he truly loved and took great pride in. Outside of work, he enjoyed golfing, taking road trips, and spending time with those he cared about.

He is survived by his brothers, Hector Granillo of Midland and Roberto Granillo and wife Sylvia of Midland; his sisters, Estella Paramo and husband Jose of Fort Worth, Gabriela Torres and husband Enrique of Midland, and Rosalia Granillo of Midland. Ricky was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews who adored him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Toribio and Geronima Granillo. 

Ricky will be forever loved and cherished by his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Viewing will take place on Tuesday, March 24th from 12pm - 9pm at Lewallen Garcia Pipkin Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Shrine at 10am on Wednesday, March 25th.
