Judy Bramble, Felicia Boubin and I carpooled with Mel from 1988 to 1999. Mel always had a "topic of the day" to keep the conversation interesting on our drive in to work. I also worked with Mel at Mead School & Office Products from 1988 until his retirement, at which time our office gave him a ton of tickets to see the Reds play the rest of the season. Since 2002, the four of us have had quarterly dinners just to stay in touch. Mel was a very interesting, intelligent and kind man, always with a smile on his face. We'll keep going with our quarterly carpool dinners and you can bet that we'll have a Budweiser and small glass on our table in your memory. We're going to miss you, Mel! Condolences to Wanda and family. I'm sorry that I wasn't at the funeral service but just found out today about Mel's passing when I couldn't reach him by phone. I will let Judy and Felicia know as well.

PYO Baseball wouldn't be the same without the impact of Mel! His presence around the complex will be missed. His love of youth baseball was shining throughout his life. Mel will be remembered by many of PYO's Members and Families for many years to come.
