Roger "Mel" Melford

Judy Bramble, Felicia Boubin and I carpooled with Mel from 1988 to 1999. Mel always had a "topic of the day" to keep the conversation interesting on our drive in to work. I also worked with Mel at Mead School & Office Products from 1988 until his retirement, at which time our office gave him a ton of tickets to see the Reds play the rest of the season. Since 2002, the four of us have had quarterly dinners just to stay in touch. Mel was a very interesting, intelligent and kind man, always...

So sad, played PYO baseball for him for may years, taught me everything I knew about the game. He will be missed by many. My dad and Mel grow up together as well. May you hit all the home runs you ever wanted....

Mel was my neighbor for 25 years. He was a great guy a friend as well. When I look outside my house I always expect to see Mel coming and going and now I know that will never be anymore. We will miss you Mel. RIP....

Mel it was a pleasure to talk to you through all the baseball years. Thanks for the many compliments to Zach and asking how Amy and our family was doing. We wish your family all the well wishes and good vibes in the healing process.
