Not sure what to say?

My wife & I met Roger a few years ago while walking our dog "Brooklyn" he was always helping out his neighbors or cleaning up somewhere including OL Smith School, the Dearborn Free Methodist Church the alley behind the business on Telegraph Rd. Brooklyn would always be on the look out for Roger and go crazy when she spotted him as he always had a dog treat for her and for most of the dogs in the neighborhood. I think Roger was as excited to see Brooklyn as she was to see him. We would stop...

I worked at American Airlines with Roger. As all of the staff , we loved him. I had a very special affection for him. We would spend time together and l even got him to go out to lunch. Such a wonderful giving Man and if course adored his son Joe. I am so glad he had grand children, especially girls. Over the years I have thought of him often, missed him then, and, will miss him now.

I was sorry to read that Rodger had past.
I first met Rodger in the summer of 1955 when my parents moved us to Hartwell St. We grew up together doing the usual boy thingswater hose fights, racing up and down the street on our bikes, going to the swampy area of Miller Rd. to catch frogs and turtles. As we grew older (tweens) we would get into mischief that all good teens would sometimes dosetting off rockets over Hemlock park loaded with cheery bombs, learning to drive a stick shift car...

Roger was such a kind and friendly man who did so much good for our neighborhood. On my morning walks I would find him picking up litter, fallen branches and even at times trimming the bushes at the closed library. We would stop a chat for a while. We have lost a good man. I'll certainly miss him.

I was Roger's mail lady. He was the kindest man I've ever met. Always helping me stay hydrated in the summer and many conversations about work and our families. I am so badly going to miss him!

Roger loved living in Dearborn. He cared deeply about his neighbors and worked tirelessly to keep the streets clean and the landscaping manicured. He loved cars and bikes and living in this time of great expanding technologies. He is the most humble person I know and was always ready to help in any way he could. I truly enjoyed the time we spent and I am thankful for meeting him not so long ago and getting to know him. Unwittingly he left a good impression on almost everyone he met,...

Roger was a dear friend and our friendship continued long after we both retired from American Airlines.I remember having breakfast with his brother Norman and their uncle as they tried to solve the worlds problems.Joe was the light of his life and I am so sad tonight as I reminisce about our “after work pizzas” and his visit to Pinehurst.Roger was a true gentleman and It was a privilege to be his friend.

A fine, GENTLE man. His kindness will be missed.

An original...A really NICE guy! Prayers for Roger and his family.
