Roland "Rudy" Hayes Jr., beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and cherished friend, passed away on January 9, 2025, at the age of 49. Roland was born on February 12, 1975, in Beaumont, Texas, to Roland and Shirley Hayes Sr. He led a life defined by his love for family, dedication to his community, and unwavering integrity.
Rudy was known for his warm and generous spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and offer support to those in need. He deeply appreciated the value of hard work and believed in the power of kindness. His contributions to his family, friends, and community will be remembered with fondness and gratitude.
His role as a father and uncle was where he found his greatest joy. His family filled him with pride, and he instilled the values of perseverance, empathy, and compassion in them.
Roland enjoyed listening to music from various genres. He was also known for his love of sanding and crabbing. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and his enthusiasm for life was contagious to those around him.
Roland was preceded in death by his oldest son, Roland Hayes III. He is survived by his wife, Catina Hayes; parents, Roland and Shirley Hayes; sister, Rolanda Holifield; children, Paige, Hannah, and Kane Hayes; and three nephews, Forrest, Andrew, and Joshua Holifield, all of whom will miss him deeply. His legacy lives on in the lessons he taught and the love he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A service to celebrate Roland's life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 10 A.M. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 3920 W Cardinal Dr., Beaumont, Texas 77705.
Roland Hayes Jr. will be forever remembered for his positive impact on all who knew him. May he rest in peace, his memory cherished in the hearts of those who loved him.
