So many memories, a few words, to share. The first time I met your family I was throwing a baseball in my backyard and Richie came out to play. Soon after that we were in little league and Roland was one of our coaches. His brilliance, and Lowell Rush's too, was he knew two important things: how to harness talent to make a team and how to let boys enjoy a game. To the Felix family, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your husband and father. I remember being over at Richie's home and seeing Mr. Felix come home from work. He always had time to talk to us kids. He was a great example of a husband, father and coach.

Butch was one of my favorite people and made a big impact on my life. I am terribly sorry and share your grief. I miss knowing that he is there with you. Stay strong.

Roland P. "Butch"'s Obituary

           Roland P. “Butch” Felix, Jr.,73, of East Rockhill Twp., passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, April 2, 2018. 

            He and his beloved wife Kathleen (Butler) Felix would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this year.

            Born in Spinnerstown, he was a son of the late Verna (Wonsidler) and Roland P. Felix, Sr.

            A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he attained the rank of Sergeant.

            Mr. Felix was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Quakertown.  In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, and taking trips by car.

            In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons:  Jeffrey Felix and his wife Catherine of Hellertown, Richard Felix of Hatfield, four grandchildren, two sisters:  Jeanette Landis of Quakertown, Arlene Freeman and her husband Dan of Georgia, and a sister-in-law, Kathryn Wonsidler.  He was preceded in death by his half brother, Earl Wonsidler. 

            Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 11 AM in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford.  Interment will follow in the Trinity Great Swamp Cemetery in Spinnerstown.  Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Grace Ministries International at gracem.org for the support of Ted and Kim Rabenold serving in Tanzania, or to the First United Church of Christ, 151 S. 4th St., Quakertown, PA 18951.  Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, Telford.
