Ronald's Obituary

Ronald Eugene Aurand, age 87, of Stockton, IL passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at FHN Hospital in Freeport. He was born on May 9, 1938 to the late Glen and Viola (Wurster) Aurand. Ron married Sylvia Brunner in August of 1955. He later married Elaine Steinestel on December 16, 1981.

He graduated from Stockton High School in 1956. Ron was a farmer and farm implement mechanic his whole life. He loved Euchre, splitting wood, and motorcycle trips. Ron was also an avid Cubs fan.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Aurand of Stockton; his daughters, Dianna (Darrell) Shoemaker of Peoria, IL, Kathy (Dan) Diaz of Lena, IL, Kristi (Ted) Davenport of Stockton, IL, and Val (Brad) Brudi of Stockton, IL; his sons, Dave (Lynn) Aurand of Spanish Fort, AL and Bob (Jennifer) Kehl of Stockton; his grandchildren, Ryan (Aristene), Jeff, Stefanie (Adam), Jessica, Chad, Jake (Lorena), Allison, Ethan (Paige), Lauren, Rich, Renee (Will), Kris (Sophia), Erica (Tebin), Corey, Rachel (Chad), Nick (Sibyll), Alyssa (Mark), Zach (Tracy), Bill, Carrie (Colin), Justin (Vincent), Hope, Hannah, Haley, and Joseph; his 22 great grandchildren; and his sister, Elaine Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Cindy.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A private interment will take place at a later date at Woodbine Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
