Not sure what to say?

We met Ron & Linda as neighbors and became friends. We were really sad when we had to leave. Since then, we have remained in touch with this amazing family. A wonderful man gone too soon. We pray the family have peace and is surrounded by the amazing love from God to provide them with comfort during their greiving times of Ron. We will miss his friendship.

My most sincere sympathy to Ron’s family. I enjoyed visits with Ron and trying to figure out how to make his hair look thick and healthy! We shared a lot of laughs. It was always very evident that Ron loved his family deeply and was so thrilled to be “Grandpa”! I appreciated Ron’s insurance expertise and advice when dealing with my insurance. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. Blessings to you Linda and family.

God Bless Ron and Linda and their family Mary and Gary Widmann

Linda and family. So sad to hear of Ron’s passing he was such a sweetheart. Always there to help with the best advice for insurance and talk about life and family. I worked at American Freight the same time Linda did but met Ron later and he guided me to the right Health insurance I needed. He was a wiz at knowing insurance and always gave good advice. May you rest in peace dear friend. Prayers and hugs for the family.

Linda and family, so sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. I never met Ron, but my mom, Sharon, met him and Linda at church. She has spoken highly of both Ron and Linda, and what nice people they are. You have my sincere condolences.

Ronald's Obituary

Ronald Richard Dahl, 72, Beloved Father and Friend. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron Dahl, who died on September 22, 2025, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.

Ron was the son of Leonard and Lorraine (Eidenshink) Dahl; he was born on June 8th, 1953, in Sioux Falls SD. He was the second of five children and a proud older brother to his three younger sisters. Ron graduated from Lincoln High School, class of 1971.

In November of 1974, Ron met Linda Even and they both knew that their connection would be forever. They were united in marriage at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Sioux Falls SD on April 26th, 1980. Ron was a devoted husband and stood by his promise to love and support his family each and every day. They were blessed with two children, Brian and Kathy; and he had always said that his absolute greatest joy was being a father. He was loving, strong, and a champion for his children. Above being a father, he was absolutely elated when he became a grandfather.

Ron started Dahl Agency in 1995. He was proud of his achievements and strived for success in every endeavor he came across. His career in the insurance field provided him an opportunity to extend his undeniable friendship and dedication to his policy holders. He created relationships everywhere he traveled and continued those relationships into retirement.

His passion for the outdoors; all things hunting and fishing, were his greatest passions. He absolutely loved the Black Hills and the Missouri River. He spent countless days with friends and family out west. He was able to share his enthusiasm for fishing with his son, Brian, and they extended their talents together providing walleye guiding services on the Missouri River.

Ron lived a full life marked by hard work, kindness, and deep commitment to his family. Whether offering a helping hand or sharing a story, he had a unique way of making you feel important and loved. His memory will live on in the stories we share, and the values that he taught, and the beautiful way he showed us how to love.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Lorraine Dahl of Sioux Falls SD, and a sister Jacqueline Dahl of Minnesota.

Ron is survived by his Wife, Linda Dahl of Sioux Falls SD; his children Brian Dahl of Chamberlain SD and Kathleen Hander (Ryan) of Humboldt SD; his beloved grandchildren Elsa and Isabel Hander; and step-granddaughter, Adelee Carlton. His siblings Dave Dahl (Connie) of Pierre SD, Karla Gessell (Jeff) of Arizona, and Cheryl Vandemore (Mark) of Sioux Falls SD. He also leaves behind dear friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
