Passed away peacefully Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Covenant Healthcare; age 88 years. Ron was born on August 9, 1937 in Saginaw, MI to the late Henry and Frieda Huber. He was married to Kathleen Pruetz on May 24, 1959; she predeceased him on October 4, 2021.
Ron was employed as an auto mechanic and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church and served on the Blumfield Township Fire Department. He was involved with CB Radio with REACT, Ham Radio with SAVARA, and was a member of the Frankentrost Band. He was also involved with Operation Care for many years.
Surviving are 3 children, Charmaine LaLande of Saginaw, Andy Huber of Saginaw, and Jennifer DeWitt of Saginaw; 4 grandchildren, Joshua LaLande, Cadie Jo (Chris) Reinshuttle, Megan (Gordon) Summerfield, and Jeremy (Madison) Huber; 2 great-grandchildren Alice and Lana; and 2 brothers, Larry (Martha) Huber and Michael (Barbara) Huber.
Besides his wife Kathleen, Ron was preceded in death by 2 sons-in-law Steven LaLande and Grant DeWitt and daughter-in-law Susan Huber.
According to Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to King of Kings Lutheran Church or Charity of Donor’s Choice.
