Ronald's Obituary

RONALD K. KIRK SR., aged 89, passed away on January 5, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Sally M. , loving father of Ronald K., Jr. (Marcia), Barbara G., Thomas M., and Robert D. (Jeanette). Loving grandfather of Kristian (Beth), Joshua (Marina), Justin (Kim) and Genevieve. Loving great-grandfather of Bryce, Kamron, Aaron and Madison. Son of the late Howard and Clara, brother of the late James and Russell. Uncle and great uncle to several nieces and nephews. Ron was born on July 13, 1927 and raised in Lakewood, Ohio. He was a graduate of Lakewood High School where he met his life-long sweetheart. They were married on August 30, 1947 and were married for over 57 years and together for more than 62 years. They moved to Westlake, Oh in 1955, where they raised their four children. He was a former employee of the Cleveland Plain Dealer for over forty-two years serving in various capacities, starting as a clerk and held several managerial positions. He was a Past Master and over fifty year member of Dover Lodge #489 F. & A.M. He also served as secretary of the Lodge for several years. Following retirement in 1989, the couple moved to Franklin, W.V. Later, Ron began a 'second career' as a part-time employee of CMI. He was an extraordinary man and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. FRIENDS AND FAMILY MAY CALL SUNDAY JANUARY 8, AT THE MCGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME, 25620 CENTER RIDGE RD., WESTLAKE, OH. FROM 4-7 P.M. WITH MASONIC SERVICES AT 7:00 PM. Funeral Services in the Funeral Home will be conducted on Monday, January 9 at 11 A.M. Interment Evergreen Cemetery , Westlake, Ohio.
