Not sure what to say?

Dear Ron,
Thank you for the children we had together, and for introducing me to Kahlil Gibran.
May you rest in peace.
Bonnie

Kathy and Family, we are sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you. Ron lived the abundant life! The Lord's Blessings, Julie and Harry Losey

We were so fortunate to have Ron as our brother-in-law. Always ready to tell a story, a joke. Always showing genuine interest in others. An amazing talented man with a wonderful smile.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

The Modells and the Cottrills enjoying some time together.

Oh, how we already miss Ron's "stories". Every time we were together, or even just chatting on the phone, the line "Did I tell you this story?" was always part of the conversation. Laughs were always a big part of the Ron and Kathy "experience". Kinder folks you'll never meet. Ron's recall of events was amazing, what an incredible memory! The world is a darker place without Ron here, but we are privileged to say he was our friend. We will miss him greatly. Already do. But we'll always have...

I wrote in this guest book and added a photo. They seem to have disappeared. I won’t try to recapture the sentiment save to say I was honored to be a studen - of life and music/friend/in Ron’s word: “sister” to my dear mentor of 53 years, Ron “The Mode” Modell. Rest in Peace beloved Ron.
My heart goes out to your “beautiful Kathy” - love of your heart.

Rest in Peace beloved friend, mentor, and “brother”. You were a rock, a fountain, and a sunny sky for 53 years of my life. I love you and will remain grateful to you until my last breath.
My heart is full knowing how much true love and deep respect you and Kathy had for one another during your blessed marriage.
Josh’s obituary is spot on. Terrific writing.
Sending much love to the entire family and former students and friends of this uniquely stellar man.

I was a trumpet major at NIU and also played under Ron when he was guest conductor for Kishwaukee Symphony. I sent this email to Ron recently hoping he would be able to read it. He holds a special place in my heart.

I waited too long to call and tell you how much Guy and I enjoyed the CD you sent us with the Dallas Symphony with you on principal playing Fanfare for the common man, Rodeo, and Ives. I loved hearing you tell the story of the recording session, and the result is truly...

RIP Ron Modell, may God bless you and your family. Kathy very sorry to learn of Ron's passing I had the honor to know such a great guy.
