Ronald Arthur Simon, 73, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. He was born in West Virginia to parents Evan and Virginia Simon. Ronald graduated from technical institute where he learned hydraulics and went on to own his own business in the hydraulic repair industry. He enjoyed Nascar and watching the Steelers play.
Preceded in death by his parents; his wife Shirley A. Simon; his son Jason Simon; two grandsons, Gavin Simon and Gabe Simon; sister, Margaret Ann Valentine; and brother-in-law Gary Martin; he is survived by his sons and their wives, Gregory Simon (Kathryn) and Ronald Simon (Amy); grandchildren, Abby Keith, Nickolas Simon, Aaliyah Isham, Benjamin Simon, Wesley Hawkey (Izabelle), Isaiah Hawkey, Savannah Hawkey, Aryanna Zeitler, Austin Hall (Skyla), and Ila Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Scarlett Keith-Mulloy, Mathias Hawkey, David Mulloy, and Davina Hall; sisters, Fran Martin and Nancy Musgrave (Ronnie); as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armistead Avenue, Hampton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made as memorial donations to your favorite charity.
