The fight's over. I am sorry there wasn't the victory hoped for, but this may have been the better happy ending, considering what might have been had more work and struggle transpired. Ron put up with a lot and could still wisecrack over it. I think all of the specialists appreciated that part of him, too. It's not easy to let friends go, especially after close to 41 years, but sometimes one has to step back and take in the big picture and then you realize that he may well have had the last...

Ronald "Ron" Anthony Suwanski, Sr., 72, of Hanover Park, died September 17, 2016. Ron was the beloved husband of Therese; loving father of Ronald (Dawn) Suwanski, Jr., Carolyn (Phil) Lockhart, Christopher and Ann Marie; proud papa of Austin, Ryan, Sarah and Connor; cherished brother of Gene (Lynn), Sandra and the late Thomas Suwanski. Ron was an Army veteran and a "Jack of all trades." He loved spending time with his grandkids.Visitation Thursday, September 22, 3:00p.m. – 9:00p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Road) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral Friday 11:00a.m. Following services cremation will be private at Countryside Crematory.
