Ronald's Obituary

Ronald Eugene Swan, 82, of Spearman passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in Amarillo.  Viewing will be on Friday, May 16, 2025 (9:00a.m.-9:00p.m.) with family visitation from (2:00p.m.-4:00p.m.)  and Saturday, May 17,2025 (9:00a.m.-1:00p.m.) at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Spearman.  A graveside service is to be on Saturday, May 17, 2025, 2:00p.m. at the Hansford Cemetery with Rev. John Scott officiating.   Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.

Ronald was born on November 23, 1942 in Dickens Co. Texas to Willie Swan and Bessie Pool Swan.  He was a hard working man, loving father, grandfather and great –grandfather.  He liked hunting birds.   Ronald loved gardening.   He grew the best vegetables. He retired from Northern Natural Gas after 30 years as a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elaine, daughter, Leslie and son, Scott.  

Ronald is survived by his children, daughter Stacie (Tammy) Swan of Amarillo, son, Jarret Swan of Dallas, daughter, Leann Swan of Amarillo, son, Jeffrey Swan of OKC, daughter Ashley Swan of Amarillo, brother David Swan (Sharron) of Spearman and sister, Glenda Ujhely of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Family suggests memorials in memory of Ronald be to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell, Amarillo, TX. 79109.
