I remember Mr. White when he worked with my dad at the Custom House Post Office. He and my daddy, alone with the other carriers would get together every evening after work. Mr. White was a good person.

Ronald Joseph White

Ronald Joseph White, age 82  was born on October 10, 1943, a native and lifelong New Orleans, LA resident and retired letter carrier passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Ronald was the loving husband of Celia Jenkins. Beloved father of Taras Madison, Christy Smith, TajaVarnado and Taralyn Varnado. Step-father of Collins, Juan and Tawanda Jenkins. He was also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Emile White, Sr. and Lillian Seph White, and two brothers Irvin Emile White, Jr. and Martin White. Relatives and friends the family are invited to attend the Mass on Christian Burial on Friday, January 2, 2026 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 7300 Crowder Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70127 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Louis #3 Cemetery, 3421 Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70119.
