Ronald F. Schlater, age 69, formerly of Piedmont, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri. He was born September 27, 1955 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, the son of Billy and Helen Louise (Garbison) Schlater.
Ronnie was married to Karen Campbell June 25, 1977 and together they owned and operated Bluff View Marina and Campbell's Outboard Sales for many years. They had made their home in Farmington since their retirement.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Billy and Louise Schlater.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Schlater of the home, 2 sons, Kyle Schlater and Michael Schlater, both of Farmington; his nieces and nephew that he considered his children, Alicia Moulder and her husband Kyle of Texas, Mendy Brown and her husband Josh, of Rockford, MI., Dustin Campbell, of Piedmont; two brothers; James Schlater and his wife Veronica of Patterson, Dennis Schlater and his wife Jan of Arnold: two sisters, Sharon Cecil and her husband Doug of Pleasant Hill, IA, Karla Gatewood and her husband Gary also of Pleasant Hill, IA.
Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Alexis Mae, Kylie Kay, Selena Marie, Eleanor Joanna Louise and Oliver Maxwell; along with many other family and friends.
A celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 26th at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Piedmont.
