Very sad to hear of Rosa’s passing. We worked together at Somerville Mental Health Clinic. She was kind, smart , and funny. A beautiful person. My condolences to her family.

Karen, Our hearts are deeply saddened for the passing of your Mom, affectionately known to us as "Sis". That Boston accent of hers will forever ring in our minds. Rosa Lee Mills – Of Medford, passed away at home on Sunday, October 5, 2025. She was 81 years young. Born and raised in Eatonton, Georgia, she was the beloved daughter of the late John W. and Rose Mae (Hampton) Williams. Rosa cherished spending time with her family. Seeing her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren always brought her immense joy, and she never missed an opportunity to proudly boast about them. She also enjoyed testing her luck while playing cards and was known for her unbeatable poker face. In her quiet moments, Rosa loved reading, fishing, and cheering on all of Boston’s sports teams. Beloved wife of the late Robert Mills. Significant other of the late Winters (Raymond) Gunther for 38 yrs. Devoted mother of Karen L. Goodridge and her husband David of Somerville, and Eric Mills of Medford. Cherished grandmother of Darryl B. Goodridge and his wife Renae M. of Somerville, Alicia R. Goodridge of Somerville, and Jayla Rose Moore of Medford. Loving great-grandmother of Julian M., Cassius J., and Kira K. Goodridge. Dear sister of Joseph H. Williams and his wife Mary of Coatesville, PA, and the late Johnnie Williams, Theodora "Dolly" Butler, Dorothy Welch, Willie "Frankie" Williams, Thomas L. Williams, and Eddie Williams. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House SQ.) Somerville on Saturday, October 18th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Followed by words of remembrance at 12:00PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
