Rosetta Jackson Brown

Rosetta Jackson Brown, age 80, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, LA, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. She was survived by her husband James Brown, Sr., her children; Ralph Singleton, Sr., Suzanne Singleton, Lavechia Singleton and Sochile Harris (Dontrell); her siblings Roosevelt Thomas (Deborah), Ruben Thomas, Leroy Banks, Jr. (Zelma), Eliza Talley, Betty Moore (Edward), Joyce Hanzy, Hattie Franklin, Mahalia Lightell (Jessie), Victoria Robinson, LaFern Banks and Cheryl Johnson; sister-in-law, Dorothy Jackson; 2 Goddaughters, Michelle Rainey (Anthony) and Cnawa Jones (Lavar); 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Jackson, Sr., Viola C. Moore, Leroy Banks, Sr., and Ophelia Banks; her children Edison Singleton, Jr. and Kenny Singleton; one grandson Kenny Randolph; siblings, Louise Livas, Jenny White, Lucy Scott, Julia Gassery, LIllie Mae Talley, Delores Banks, Isaac Matthew, Albert Jackson, Jr., George Jackson, and Alvin Tally; one son-in-law Corey Johnson; and on godson Joey Ray. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Beacon Light Baptist Church of Houma, 4325 W.
