Roy's Obituary

Roy Edward Grubb, Jr., 83, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, Columbus, MS.

No services will be held.

Mr. Grubb was born July 30, 1934, in Morgantown, WV to the late Roy B. Grubb, Sr. and Gladys Irene Frankenberry. He was a member of US Army as a Radio Messenger Router for 23 years. Mr. Grubb enjoyed talking to his family on the phone as often as possible. He loved to watch football and golf. Mr. Grubb also enjoyed listening to Carrie Underwood sing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

Mr. Grubb is survived by his wife of 18 years- Mary Evelyn Owens Grubb of Steens, MS; daughters- Sylvia (Mike) Harbe, and Bertha (Rich) Helm; sons- J.R. Grubb, Michael “Mike” Phillips, and Robert (Barbara) Grubb; grandchildren- Ashley Harbe, Haley (Michael) Broome, Joseph Grubb, Jayton Grubb, J’Anna Grubb, Christina (Anton) Hallquist, and Evan Phillips; great-grandchildren- Mikayla Hallquist, Maleah Hallquist, Mianni Hallquist, K’Anna Grubb, and Kyler Grubb; sisters- Peggy Myers, and Mary Lou Clarke; and brother- Donnie Grubb.
