We are heartbroken to hear of Ruben's passing. He was always so warm and kind to me, Linda and Manuel. Ruben will always be in our thoughts and may he forever rest in peace.

Obituary

Ruben's Obituary

Ruben Arroyos, born November 5, 1922, in San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2023, at the age of 100. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luz Gutierrez and Guillermo Arroyos; daughter, Diana Suarez, and brother, Bill Arroyos.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carmen Arroyos; daughters, Gloria (Michelle), Norma, and Deedee; son, Kenny Arroyos and Sindy Arroyos; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Ruben was a very hard worker. He rarely ever missed a day of work and was an amazing provider for his family. He loved to fix things – from cars, appliances, toys, etc. Anything! Especially clocks! If you gave him something that was broken, he knew he could have it up and running again in no time! He was an avid coin and stamp collector. Ruben was a wonderful, polite, helpful, tolerant human being. There was not a mean bone in his body. He was always laid-back and very easy going.

He was the best husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa ever! His presence in our lives will be greatly missed. WE LOVE YOU!

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home.
