Ruby Mitchell Bowermeister

My family go back to Mobile, AL with Ruby and Bob Bowermeister. Over the years we lost touch, but always remember Ruby and her sweet spirit. Sorry to hear of her passing. Donna Jean Moss Cloud, Jasper, GA

sweet lady, everything said about her at her service but one unknown: she taught Sunday School and sang for residents of Cobblestone Assisted Living for many years. Few could say no to her smiling welcome. I will look for her near the daylilies in heaven.

Ruby and I commuted to Valdosta State College(University) when she was completing her college degree. We taught together for those 21 years. I loved her wonderful laugh that echoed down the school halls. She shared her energy and her love of Christ with all. We enjoyed watching our students grow up and mature to become responsible adults. Her garden was so beautiful. She enjoyed sharing her special blooms with her school as well as her garden clubs. She was a special friend who has earned her...

Mrs. Bowermeister impacted my life in such a major way! God placed her in my life when I was a high school senior. She took me under her wings and encouraged me to become a teacher....and so much more! The bond we shared went far beyond teacher/paraprofessional. She loved easily and always tried to see the best in others. I will always love and remember Mrs. Bowermeister.

I had Mrs. Bowermeister in the First Grade at Stringfellow School here in Moultrie. She was a great teacher! I will miss her very much!
