Ruby N. Kristek, 88, died, peacefully in her home Friday, June 27, 2014. She was born in Monett, Missouri, one of 8 children to the late Eugene and Goldie Wormington. She was the wife of the late James J. Kristek, Sr. they were married for 55 years until James, Sr. passed away. Ruby was a lifelong homemaker and childcare provider. She was a positive influence on many children, and all she came in contact with. She enjoyed baking, sewing and making her house a welcoming home. She is survived by her children, James (Gayle) Kristek, Jr., Aretta "Ann" Everhart, Steven Kristek, Tena (Edward) Randall, Tim (Diane) Kristek, Brian Kristek; grandchildren, Amanda Kristek-Cavner, Benjamin Kristek, Justin Everhart, Lucas Randall, Clay Kristek, Kriste Lambotte, Emily Kristek, Garrett Randall, Breeann Shaeffer, Jacob Kristek, Melissa Kristek, Michael Kristek; step-grandchildren, Carrie Kerr, Summer Wedel-Roman, Levi Wedel; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 of her siblings from MO. She is preceded in death by her husband, son in-law, Sigmund "Sig" Everhart, daughter in-law, Laura Kristek, granddaughter, Candice Kristek and four siblings. Visitation: Tuesday, July 1, 1-8pm, family present 6-8pm. Funeral: 10am, Wednesday, July 2, both at Smith Family Mortuary, Derby. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the American Heart Association, 8630 E 32nd Ct. N., Wichita, KS 67226.
