Ruby Shely Funeral Service Broadcast

Ruby Mae Peach Shely, 89, wife of Donald Lewis Shely, passed away July 4, 2024 at her home in Anderson County, KY.  Born in Anderson County on June 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late William Earl Peach and Addie Mae Searcy Peach.

Along with her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Shely.

A member of the Glensboro Christian Church, Ruby formerly worked as a clerk at Wal-Mart, Pic Pac, and Ben Franklin in Lawrenceburg.  She loved her family and enjoyed keeping her grandchildren.

Including Donald, her husband of 70 years, she is survived by three children, Debbie (husband Larry) Armstrong of Lawrenceburg, Carolyn Thurman of Shelbyville, and Darrell (wife Tina) Shely of Lawrenceburg; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Corn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Highview Cemetery in Chaplin, KY.  Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 PM Monday and after 9 am until time of service on Tuesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Shely, Robbie Armstrong, Logan Shelburn, Allen Klein, Ethan Thurman, and Josh Thurman.
