Russell was such a man of high integrity and a dear cousin to all of us. Rest in peace our gentle man. We will miss you greatly.

We have many fond memories of time spent with Rosie and Russell over the years. Our trips to New York and Hawaii will remain in our memories forever! We'll miss you Russell!

Russell's Obituary

RANA, Russell E., a longtime resident of Clarkston, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025 at the age of 84.  Russell was born in Arkansas on July 14, 1941.  Russell graduated with honors from Oakland Community College and worked for over 40 years as an Engineer.  In addition, Russell was a long-standing landlord, highly successful businessman, and a role-model when it came to acting with honor and integrity.

In his spare time, Russell served as a volunteer in the Church and Clarkston community, and he enjoyed reading and relaxing with his Bull-Terrier, Luna.  Russell is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Rose, sons Michael and Anthony, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a wake at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston on Wednesday, September 10th from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Daniel Catholic Church on Thursday, September 11 at 11:00 am where Russell was a time-honored parishioner.

Interment Lakeview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Childen’s Research Hospital or St. Daniel Catholic Church.
