Toby was a great friend we were in same class at Jefferson we had hoped to see him at the reunion next year

I will always hold fond memories of Toby. He was such a gift to me and the other members of our special team at the funeral home over the years. Toby and I shared a love of a good breakfast, and I'll remember those morning meals with an even greater fondness. Always on the agenda for discussion would be "what's for supper?" Toby was always more diligent about the weather than perhaps the weather man, which always made me smile. He was full of wise, old Tobyisms... many of which aren't...

Toby was one of my best friends and neighbor I ever had. We took turns buying suppers because we both enjoyed our food. I loved his humor and his advice he would give me, Toby you will be missed.

Sympathies to the family. I went to high school and business school with Toby and later remember Scott as a little one and Wendy as a baby. In business school Toby and friends formed a "group" using the first initial of their last name, R T & R. (Roenfeldt, Tieje (who is also gone now) & Retzlaf). They were good friends and my husband and I were lucky to be unofficially included. I will miss Toby's "reports" from the farm.

Thanks for your friendship and the dinners! You were a kind man and was a pleasure being your neighbor and friend.
