Ruth Jean Kubs, age 88, of Rutherford, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Kubs and the devoted mother of John R. Kubs Jr.; Kyle Kubs and his wife, Chante; Karen Stanton and her husband, Robert; and Wayne Kubs and his wife, Allyson.
Ruth was a loving and proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She is survived by nine grandchildren, Nicole Miller and her husband Jeff, Bobby Stanton and his fiancée Courtney, Kristen Miller and her husband Matt, John Kubs, Katelyn Stanton and and her fiancé David, Kelsey Stanton and her husband Christophe, Connor Kubs, Julia Kubs, and Taylor Kubs. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Jaimie, Wren, and Madelyn.
Beyond her family, Ruth was an active and dedicated member of the Rutherford community. She participated in the Rutherford Woman’s Club, the Rutherford Golden Agers, the Rutherford Garden Club, and Polymathics. She also held leadership roles as both vice president and president of the Golden Agers, where she shared her time, talents, and friendship with many.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rutherford Womens’ Club.
