Ms. Ruth Marie Marschel, of Marthasville, MO, passed away on Monday February 24, 2025. She was born on January 1, 1961 in Washington, MO to the late Harold and Jennie (nee: Joedicke) Marschel. Ruth had reached the age of 64 years.
Ruth spent over 40 years with the love of her life, Kenny Engemann, until his passing in 2021. They enjoyed spending time fishing together at Mark Twain Lake. Ruth worked at Lamke Trenching and Excavating for 30 years and also drove a school bus for a short time for St. Ignatius School in Concord Hill. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and going antique shopping. She was very artistic. She enjoyed traveling to Florida with her sister Judy searching for sea shells and being in the sun. She also loved traveling with her girl friends. Ruth and Kenny loved to socialize with their friends at "The Infield" in Marthasville, where they had their own special table. Ruth had a very special bond with her dog, "Sammy" who has been her companion for several years. Ruth was a wonderful, caring and devoted woman to all of her family and friends.
Ruth Marschel was preceded in death by her soul mate, Kenny Engemann; her parents, Harold and Jennie Marschel; one grandson, Ben Engemann. She is survived by her siblings, Judy Bayer and husband Dan and Jim Marschel and wife Karen; step children, Kevin "Henry" Engemann, LaVon Lamke and husband Lester, Mike Engemann and Kenny "Fred" Engemann and wife Sheena; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; niece, Becky Bayer; nephews, Jason Marschel and wife Joanne, John Bayer and wife Shawnna and Jesse Marschel and wife Mandie; many other relatives and several close family friends.
A visitation for Ruth Marschel will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home in Marthasville. Service will follow at 7:00 PM also at the funeral home with Rev. Don Deeker officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to be given to No Time To Spare Animal Rescue or to American Legion of Marthasville c/o Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main Street, Warrenton, MO 63383.
