Not sure what to say?

Alan my other son. Alan the other brother to both of my boys. We all love you so very much. The pain both you Sharon and your entire family are going through is unbearable for me to think about. Both you and Sharon are such role models . Ryan was such an outstanding teenager. He excelled in everything he did. He will always be remembered with love from all who had the privilege to know him.

Donna and Alan, my heart BLEEDS for your loss. Deepest, deepest condolences to you, Sharon, and the entire family.

I just found out about this horrible occurrence. Ryan was my eldest male cousin in my mother’s side of my family. He was so sporty, so kind, so passionate, and a very good writer. We played foosball (or was it pool?) back at his father’s house. Before that, it was over five years ago that he had his bar mitzvah. We did prayers, sang, and celebrated as he read the Torah. After that, I got the privilege of throwing candy once he completed the entire ritual. I still have a deck of playing cards...

Obituary

Ryan's Obituary

Beloved son of Sharon Rosenberg and Alan Snyder.  Dear brother of Jared Snyder.  Beloved grandson of Donna and Alan Rosenberg, Harriet Snyder, and the late Michael Snyder and the late Teresa Whitesell-Snyder.  Dear nephew, cousin and friend.

Ryan was a business student at the University of Georgia. In high school, he played basketball and volleyball, and also wrestled. He was a member of National Honor Society.  He loved movies, poker, sports, and nature. He had a wonderfully dry sense of humor and was beloved by both his high school friends and friends from Six Points, a Jewish sports camp in North Carolina that was a second home to him. He loved playing board games with his family, and participated in many Fantasy Football Leagues, including one with his brother, cousins, uncle, dad and Grampa.

A private family burial will be held at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery in Chesterfield. The family will sit Shiva Monday, December 8 through Thursday, December 11, 5-8 pm, at their residence. A memorial honoring Ryan’s too-short life will be held at Congregation Shaare Emeth, 11645 Ladue Road on Sunday, December 14 at 1:30 pm. For those who cannot attend in person, live stream is available  by clicking "watch video", below.  Contributions in Ryan’s memory may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 12125 Woodcrest Executive Drive, Suite 205, St. Louis, MO 63141; Foundation for Jewish Camp, Attn: Development, 253 West 35th Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10001; or a charity of your choice.
