I only knew Ryder through his aunt, who was my coworker, but I quickly learned Ryder was a very tough kid who would impress most any Marvel superhero. Sending my condolences and continued prayers.

I was not fortunate enough to know Ryder. I was asked to pray for him from my closest friend, a CO Harrison teacher. Based on the brief words I just read, he obviously brought infinite joy to so many. Please know you all remain in my prayers. I pray you are able to find peace and comfort from the loved ones surrounding you.

Ryder Alexander Rosenberg, age 7, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, after his courageous battle with Fusion-Positive Rhabdomyosarcoma. Ryder was the beloved son of Nicole (Dustin Cotes) Rosenberg and Cory (Katelyn) Rosenberg; cherished younger brother of Aubrey Rosenberg; loved stepbrother of Leah Siekman, Torren Cotes, and William Siekman; treasured grandson of Sheryl and the late Ronnie Caldwell & Carol and Bruce Rosenberg; and dear nephew of Donald (Renee) Blum, Ryanne (Carl) Crank, and Kasi (David) Gaines. Ryder is also survived by numerous loving cousins, friends, and his sweet kitten, Timber.
Ryder was a vibrant second-grade student at C.O. Harrison Elementary School where he approached life with enthusiasm, even in the face of his illness. He had a passion for baseball, whether playing with his TCYO team or watching the Cincinnati Reds, the thrill of the game brought a smile to his face. Beyond the diamond, Ryder was an impressive gamer, spending time mastering Fortnite on his PS5 – even giving his dad a run for his money from time to time.
Ryder’s love for the Marvel Universe was boundless. He adored heroes like Spider-Man and Venom. He’d even once proclaimed himself Deadpool, bravely acknowledging his own fight with cancer. Though his time on Earth was brief, Ryder’s bright light, resilience, and capacity for joy touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He leaves behind a legacy of courage, laughter, and enduring love for his family and friends.
Visitation in his honor will be Tuesday, June 3rd from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 5527 Cheviot Rd. (45247). Funeral Service will follow on Wednesday, June 4th at 11:00am, also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at St. Joseph New Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Ryder’s name to the Dragonfly Foundation by following this link or the Canine Comfort Program through Cincinnati Children’s Hospital by following this link.
