Sally Ann's Obituary

Sally Ann Cox Raye age 78 of Nashville, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. Born Dec. 16, 1946 in Galion, OH, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Bloomer Cox and was preceded in death by her twin sister, Susan Cox Flory.

Sally received her Bachelor's degree from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH and her Master's degree from the Peabody Library School in Nashville. Sally was a Librarian at the Metro Nashville Library for over 40 years. She was a member of Christ Church Episcopal in Nashville and enjoyed reading an playing the piano.

Sally is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry D. Raye; her brother-in-law, Ted Ray and his wife, Wanda of Liberty and a nephew, Jason Hayes Ray of Liberty.

Sally had chosen cremation and no services are planned. Condolences can be sent to Hunter Funeral Home, 208 West Main St., Watertown, TN 37184. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salem Cemetery Care Fund in Liberty, TN or to the Windsor Park Society, c/o Windsor Tower Condominium, 4215 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37205.
