Salvador Aguilar Garfias

We want to honor and remember an amazing man who gave his all for his family no matter the cost and always went above and beyond to provide and protect. Salvador Aguilar Garfias born on August 23, 1978, to Raul Aguilar Cruz and Imelda Garfias Guzman in Toluca Mexico. He was the last child of 7 children.

He is honored and survived by his siblings Sergio, Javier, Enrique, Natalia, Alejandra and Raul and his children Alexia (21), Leslie (21), Ethan (16), Aydan (11), and Ayleen (9) and as well as his ex-wife Leticia Solis. Salvador was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the year 2004 and had a tremendous testimony of Jesus Christ.

On the day of his passing, he was reunited with his parents at the age of 43. Salvador left this earth in the place he knew the lord prepared for his saints in these latter days. He was the hero to his children and a wise leader and teacher to his family and always taught them to do what's right and follow the lord.

Salvador started his life in Mexico going through his own sets of challenges and life experiences and shortly after moving to the U.S became a member of the church in California. Shortly after, he moved to Texas where he met Leticia and they were married months later. Finally, he moved his family to Utah where they each had their own experiences of growth.

Salvador loved go karting, going to church, reading the scriptures, bowling, eating good food that was homemade and serving those around him. During the last parts of his life, Salvador was learning Italian and loved to hear the songs of opera Tenor Andrea Bocelli. He even went to his concert in Salt Lake City and was happy to have that experience.

We want to remember him as a faithful follower of the lord and an amazing father, husband, brother, and all of the above.

A Funeral Service will be held February 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Bluffdale 11th Ward 14242 South Loumis Parkway, Bluffdale, Utah. A viewing will be held at 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Cresent Cemetery 11105 South State Street, Sandy, Utah.
