Not sure what to say?

Did not know Sal personally but enjoyed his comments on Nextdoor!

I''m heartbroken to know just today of Sal's passing . I kept hoping the Lord would let me talk to him a little bit longer. He and I met in Hawaii in 1986 with spouses and friends and we have remained friends all these years. My deepest sympathy to his family whom I came to know through his conversations and letters. Lee

Sal was a dear friend of my dad, Bill, and our family. He and Lois are surely rejoicing as they are reunited in heaven. I always looked forward to his beautifully written and comical Christmas letters. Rest in our Lord´s loving arms, Sal. God bless you & my deepest sympathies to your family. Love Mary Dunlap

"A soldier has passed away today." You have made your final march down the lonely dusty trail. You are now called off from duty. A job well done fellow war veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Farewell fellow veteran. A Navy Vietnam Veteran.

Sir, Thank You for Your service to our country. God Bless You! God be with your family! Sincerely, A Grateful American
