In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

My dear sweet Cousin, I will miss our talks and to see your smiling face. The last time I joked with you, it warmed my heart to see you, even though you wouldn't get out of your SUV. Take your rest Sammie, Your Mother, father , son and most of all your wife is waiting to see that smiling face.

Mr. Samuel (Sammie) Cheeseboro began his life’s journey on February 10, 1940 in Calhoun County, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Roscoe Cheeseeboro, Sr. and the late Edna Evelyn Harmon Cheeseboro.  His earthly journey ended Friday, November 3, 2023.

Mr. Cheeseboro was a graduate of St. John High School in Cameron, SC.  He accepted God into his life at an early age, and was a faithful member of Providence A.M.E. Church in St. Matthews, SC until his health started to decline. He served on the Trustee Board, Kitchen Committee and was a church Sexton.

Mr. Cheeseboro was employed at Owen’s Steel Plant, and was a driver for Golden Kernel Pecan Company in Cameron, SC.

Mr. Cheeseboro was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Ferchene Wright Cheeseboro, son James Calvin Cheeseboro, brothers Jacob Cheeseboro and Roscoe Cheeseboro, Jr. and sister Lillie Mae Walker.

Mr. Cheeseboro leaves to cherish great memories: his only daughter, Cynthia Cheeseboro Barton of St. Matthews, SC; grandchildren Deon (Tierra) Lucious Barton of Columbia, SC; Brandon Demon Barton of St. Matthews, SC; Shaquanna Ren’ae Jones of St. Matthews, SC; Ryon D’Ondre Cheeseboro of Augusta, GA; James Calvin (Elaina) Cheeseboro II, Jada Cheeseboro and Jordan Cheeseboro of Connecticut; great-grand-children: Amoni, Rylee, Lauren, Kenaniah, Connor James, Reakwon, Keegan, Kemoni, Kadin, Zayden, Ryon Jr., Julianna, Jenevieve and Jayla; daughter-in-law Derdia Murphy Cheeseboro; brother Kirkland (Eva) Cheeseboro of Columbia, SC; sisters: Lethene Stewert and Florence Cheeseboro of St. Matthews, SC, Carrie Vennie of Baltimore, MD; Sarah (Jackie) Johnson of Greenville, SC; aunt Ruby Harmon of Orangeburg, SC; a special friend Mamie Corley and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
