Samuel T. Hawkins

Samuel T. Hawkins, Sr. was born September 19, 1963, to the late Elizabeth and Ransom Hawkins, Sr. He departed his life December 2, 2025 at the age of 62.

Samuel was baptized at an early age and joined Ashley Grove Baptist Church.

Samuel enjoyed doing construction work, building things and most of all spending time with his kids, grandkids and family. Let’s not forget about taking care of his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Ransom Hawkins, Sr.; his brothers, Jessie Hawkins, Ransom Hawkins, Jr., James Hawkins, George Hawkins and Glenn Hawkins; his sisters, Annie Hawkins, Patricia Hawkins, Alice Mae Hargrove; his nephews, Earnest Hawkins (Gus), Jordan Hawkins and great nephew, Jordan Hawkins, Jr. (lil Joy). 

Samuel leaves precious memories with his children, Shawanda Knott, Tameka Knott, Samuel Hawkins, Jr., Annie L. Bullock, Tynautica I. Jones, Daquan Q. Hawkins, Datwan Q. Hawkins and a bonus child, Tatiyana Jones; two brothers, Johnny Hawkins and Lynn Hawkins; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Crosby and Gwen Sharpe; a special niece, Aretina Hawkins; thirteen grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended grandkids, great grandkids, other relatives and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Young Memorial United Holy Church, 1379 Brookston Road, Henderson, North Carolina 27537. Interment will be held at Young Memorial United Holy Church.
