Not sure what to say?

I hadn't seen Sammy in over fifty years, but we worked together at Terry Brothers Printers. These were carefree days and I'm grateful that he was a part of it. Rest in Peace, Sammy

Prayers for all the Litteken family, but especially to my neighbor, Wayne. I'm so sorry for the loss of your brother.

R. I. P., Sam. No contact for many moons, but tight back when (OLQP). Life's way too quick!!!

I will miss you my friend. I have many memories from when we hung out at Joe's house rockin out. So glad we reconnected all these years later. Peace be with you.

I’ll miss you, Sammy. Always loved your art and your sweet personality. May you be in God’s hand and at peace. ❤

Sweet Sammy. Class of ‘71 NDHS. Go with God.

Sam was the son of Joseph and Wilma Litteken, who were lifetime residents of Wichita Falls. Sam had a heart attack followed by a car accident on January 8, 2026. Sammy was a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls and Clay County (Lake Arrowhead). Sam started out in the printing business working for local papers and then in his own printing business, Phoenix Ink. Following that Sam worked with his brother for 20 years in a variety of jobs in the construction business. In all of his work Sam was known for meticulous attention to details. From an early age Sam loved to gather with friends and play one of his guitars, jamming with his friends in someone’s garage and in local club.He went to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic grade school and graduated from Notre Dame Catholic high school in 1971.

Sam was a member and served as the President of the Jaycees in the nineties. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Sam loved his pets and was known to rescue many dogs and cats over the years. Sam often shared his backyard images of the Lake Arrowhead sunsets. Anyone who knew Sam knew that he was passionate about the Galveston County beaches and drove to Galveston often for the past 50 years to visit the pelicans and his favorite haunts. He will be missed by his extended family and many friends in the Wichita Falls area.

Sam is survived by siblings Wayne, Sydney, Brian, and Brenda of Wichita Falls and his sister Patricia Litteken Crane of Galveston County.
