CHESTERTOWN --- Sandra L. Ferry, 65, passed away surrounded by loved ones after a long illness Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Born July 14, 1960 in Tacoma, Washington she was the daughter of Kenneth and Evelyn (Dalaba) Monroe.
Sandra attended North Warren High School.
Sandra was an employee and manager at Nice and Easy Shoppe; she worked there for a long time and ultimately retired from there. Sandra was also involved with the Pottersville Fire Department for many years.
Sandra looked forward to the Fall season and Halloween. The most important thing to Sandra was spending valued time and making memories with her family, friends, and grandkids. She always made sure everyone around her was taken care of and happy. Sandra also loved her pick-me-up iced coffee from Fat Janets.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her grandparents, Gerald and Alberta (Moffitt) Dalaba; uncle, Phillip Dalaba; and niece Verhonica Mueller.
Those left to cherish her memory are her companion, Richard Ellsworth of Igerna Road; children, Samantha (Joseph) Werne of Argyle, and Stephen (Nittaya Intsamran) Ferry of Elmira; grandchildren, Aubrie Werne, and Marlie Werne; sister, Kelly (Rick) Wolfe of Pottersville; brothers, Jerry Hayes of Pottersville, and Dan (Cindy) Hayes of Granville; aunt, Pat Dalaba of Florida; nieces, nephews, and cousins, Jennifer (Matt) Graham, Adam Hayes, and Sabrina Wolfe; great nieces and nephews, Drayven, Violette, Ezekiel, Evangelina, Lucas, Evan, Zachary, and Lily; and lastly her beloved cat, Simmons.
Calling hours will take place Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
