Houston-Raymond Davis Griffin, 70, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016, at MD Anderson Center in Houston, TX. He was born June 29, 1946, to the late Raymond Russell Griffin and Juanita Davis Griffin in Vaiden, MS. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Houston. He was a local business man for 39 years and Owner of Griffin Motors. He believed in helping others and being involved in his community, such as, sponsoring the local Boy Scouts and fundraising for the Houston Solar car team. He was a Free Mason and a member of the Exchange Club in Houston.Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Houston with Bro. Daniel Herringa officiating. Burial will be in Chickasaw Memorial Gardens. Memorial Funeral Home in Houston is in charge of arrangements.He is survived by his wife Charlotte Whitt Griffin of Houston; two sons, Raymond Davis Griffin, Jr. of Houston and Russell Griffin (Laura) of Houston; three grandchildren, Austin Lane Griffin, Charles Eric Griffin and Sarah Ray Griffin.He was Preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Juanita Davis Griffin; a brother, Owen "Deedy" Griffin.Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.Pallbearers will be John Lee Lyles, Derrick Griffin, Steve Eaton, Jerry Eaton, Terry Ward and Eddie Alford.For online condelences visit memorialfuneralhomehouston.com.
