Not sure what to say?

Sandi was my sister-in-laww iin the 1960's. She was fun to be around.

Sandy was a woman of integrity when many around her forgot the definition of the word. We had so many great conversations about our connections from school, and I will treasure her friendship forever. Prayers of comfort for everyone who loved and cared for this precious lady.

Sandra's Obituary

Sandra Gail “Sandi” Martin Koger  , age 78, passed away  peacefully at Cookeville Regional Medical Center on February 17th, 2026. Sandi was born on October 10, 1947, in Lakeland, FL. She was known for her strong work ethic, sharp mind, and caring heart. Throughout her career, Sandi worked as a legal secretary and later served for many years as a Regional Administrator with the Department of Children’s Services (DCS), where she was deeply committed to helping children and families in need. Her dedication to her work and willingness to go above and beyond made a lasting impact on those she served and worked alongside. Sandi attended Double Springs Church of Christ and Poplar Grove Baptist Church for many years. She loved to laugh and have fun, and everyone who knew her enjoyed her company. She especially loved playing cards with friends and treasured the many beach trips she shared with those she loved. Sandi was also a devoted dog mom to Jake and Munro, who lovingly ruled the house. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Koger; her parents, Ivah and Lydia Martin; and her brothers, Ronald Terry Martin and Donald Veers. Sandi is survived by her sister, Cathy Grasty; sister-in-law, Donna Martin; niece and caregiver, Heather Bryant; nephews, Dusty Bryant, Rick Williamson, Greg Veers, and Steve Veers; and niece, Kelli Luttman. She is also survived by her great-nieces and great-nephews: Evann (Kevin) Young, Grayson (Jessica) Bryant, Ava Lidyard-Bryant, Makayla Shay Blair, Bailey Stone, and Haylee Luttman; and great-great nieces, Immy and Annie Young and Rowyn Bryant and a great-grandson, Kyle Walls. The family would like to extend special thanks to Shelly Swan and Christopher Swan for their loving care and visits with Sandi over the past several years, to her longtime friend, Regina Mackie, who lifted her spirits immensely in recent months, and to the compassionate staff at Bailey Manor and Cedar Hills Senior Living. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Whitson's Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held March 8, 2026, with visitation from 1:00–3:00 PM and the service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shelly’s Angels Saving Strays via Facebook Link (  https://www.facebook.com/share/1E9mtrFBQt/?mibextid=wwXIfr  ) or directly to the account at VCA Ragland & Riley at (931) 498-3153 in honor of her beloved fur babies, Jake and Munro. Sandi will be remembered for her warmth, dedication, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
