It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra LaChapelle. Born on September 29, 1958, Sandra was called to rest unexpectedly on September 27, 2025. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will forever be missed.Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Timothy LaChapelle, her daughter, Sara Dickerson, and her son, Aaron Phipps. Three grandchildren, Jamie, Rhianon and Mikayla two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Billy and Ruth Lambert, James Frank Phipps, the father of her children, and her brother, Charles Lambert, her memory will continue to be a beacon for her loved ones.An alumnus of ECPI University, Greenwich Road, Virginia, Sandra held an associate's degree in applied sciences.at the age of 40, and embarked on a 20 plus year career as a computer programmer. A lifetime learner, she took delight in her chosen field and her thirst for knowledge was unquenchable.A lover of life's simple pleasures, Sandra had a fondness for Mexican food, and she enjoyed a glass of Coke Cola or Ice Tea. An avid reader, she loved anything written by Anne Rice. Her musical taste was eclectic, with Stevie Nicks and Bon Jovi among her favorites. She took joy from many TV shows, including cooking and baking shows ,NCIS, Cold Case Files, and Live police series. Her favorite movie was Underworld, and she was a fan of the Indians hockey team. She was also a Harley enthusiast in her younger days and enjoyed traveling with clubs during rallies and touring events.Sandra was known for her love of solitaire. She also appreciated the talent showcased on Dancing with the Stars. A lover of tranquility, her favorite recreational activity was Gardening and reading. She was a devoted yoga enthusiast, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina held a special place in her heart as her favorite vacation spot.Locally, she enjoyed visits to Habachi Grill, IHOP, and Cracker Barrel. A person of great compassion, Sandra cared for several stray cats in her community. Her favorite color, forest green, was a testament to her love of nature and its serenity.Sandra's life was marked by her warmth, generosity, and the love she held for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. As we grieve her loss, we also celebrate the remarkable life she lived.
