Sandra Edwards Stevens, age 66, of Lumberton, NC, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
Born July 2, 1959, to James Albert and Marjorie Ray Britt Edwards, Sandra, affectionately known as Sandy, dedicated much of her life to serving her community. She worked for years at Stevens Dry Cleaners, The Robesonian, and C&B Body Shop. However, her true passion was her role as a paramedic with Robeson County EMS and the South Robeson Rescue Unit, where she touched many lives with her care and compassion.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marjorie Edwards; and her brother, James Michael Edwards.
She is survived by her two sons, Mitchell McCoy Stevens Jr. (Emilee) and James Brandon Stevens, both of Pensacola, Fla.; her sisters, Josephine Edwards and Nichole Davis (Timothy) of Lumberton, NC; nieces, Jessica Boyd and Kelsey Davis; nephews, Braydon Boyd, Wesley Boyd, Landon Boyd, and Korbin Davis; and her beloved grandchildren, Tyler Stevens, Deacon Knowles, Ryan Stevens, and Raelynn Stevens.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc. in Lumberton, NC.
Sandra’s dedication to family, friends, and her community leaves a lasting legacy of love and service.
